Wizard and Kangaroo meal in OZ!!

Found out last Friday that I'm to be in Sydney this week for 3 days. Maybe it's age or maybe the novelty of travelling is gone. The buzz and excitement of going to a place that I haven't been since 10 years ago is gone. It also doesn't help knowing that I'm leaving 2 sick kids with Kellie behind. Thank God for his grace to our family.

Woke up at 4am this morning to catch the flight. After a short nap, decided to try to finish the book Prayer: Does It Make Any Difference?by Philip Yancey (one more chapter, yay!). Interestingly, the guy who sat beside me began to take interest and we asked me about the book and why I'm reading it. I explained that this book is not a 'step 1-2-3' on how to pray, but a very good perspective on the dynamic of prayer, the impact of prayer and the importance of prayer. He than started talking to me about a course that he's conducting. He gave me a business card and he's title is 'Licensed Wizard'. Wow, Ethan will be pretty impressed that I actually met a wizard but alas, he didn't have that pointed hat, long beard and magic wand.

As he try to explain his course to me, I try to make him think about why he's conducting the course. Our conversation came to a stalemate and as we left the plane, somehow I know that this is not the last I will hear from this wizard!

Went to the city after work to take in some site seeing. Of course, have to make an obligatory visit the Sydney opera house and enjoy the walk at Circular Quay with the Opera house and the harbour bridge as your backdrop. Tried to take some pictures but there's really no inspiration for it. Found a nice spot, put on my worship song and spend time praying... thanking God for His faithfulness and His grace. My heart swell with much appreciation for Kellie and send her a text to encourage her.

Found a nice Italian restaurant by the harbour and had kangaroo meat. I must say that it was really nice, much nicer that I expected it to be. However, someone wise once told me that it's nicer to eat salted fish with family than eating Peking duck alone. Alas how true... I'm missing my family already.
