Jacky Cheung World Tour

Kellie has never been to a concert before and for her birthday, I decided to bring her to Jacky Cheung World Tour Concert. We are lucky considering that the last time he was in New Zealand, it was a dozen years ago.

Myself, this is probably my forth Jacky's concert but I have to rank this as the best. In my opinion, he is probably at his peak in terms of his charisma, dancing, stage entertainment and vocal control. All his songs deliveries were flawless and he shows his range and flexibility with songs of various genre. We were treated to canto-pop, ballads, rock, rock ballads, hip-hop, R&B and musical (he included a section of Perhaps Love).

To be fair, I think you need to be a Jacky's fan to truly appreciate the concert as Jacky spent quite a lot of time engaging with the audience. He took us on a journey of his 23 years of professional singing, his moments of struggles and his joy as a family man. In between, he treats us with all the his different hits that represent those key moments of his life.

Thank you Kellie for suggesting this as your birthday present. It's as much a present for myself as for her because we both enjoyed the evening tremendously.
